The western sector of the Principality of Asturias is an area rich in mining basins and forests, which facilitated the establishment of an artisan industry for the manufacture of knives and pocket knives in Taramundi, whose quality has been popularly recognized. With some artisans I was able to learn about the production of these famous cutting tools in 2000.
