The Moscow Oil Refinery provides 40-50% of Moscow’s needs for diesel and gasoline.
During a large-scale night attack, the Defense Forces accurately hit the Moscow Oil Refinery and other strategic facilities on Russian territory. This was reported in a message from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the social network Facebook.
It is noted that units of the Unmanned Systems Forces and Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces, on the night of March 11, struck a number of strategic Russian facilities involved in supporting armed aggression against Ukraine.
“In particular, a hit was recorded on the production capacity of the Moscow Oil Refinery, which is capable of processing 11 million tons of oil per year and provides 40-50% of Moscow’s needs for diesel and gasoline,” the report notes.
Explosions were also recorded in the area of the linear production control station “Stalnoy Kon”, Oryol region of the Russian Federation, which ensures control of technological processes of the Druzhba oil pipeline and is an important component in the processes of oil delivery to the terminal of the Ust-Luga seaport, which is in the Leningrad region.
In addition, it is known from open sources that as a result of the actions of the Russian aggressor’s air defense, a number of civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged.
Moscow residents are surprised that so many Ukrainian drones were able to break into the Russian capital tonight, Sky News Moscow correspondent Ivor Bennett reports.
"This was the biggest Ukrainian drone attack on the Russian capital since the beginning of the war," he says.
Muscovites were filled with "a mixture of shock and surprise," Bennett said. "One person said they couldn't believe so many drones had been launched and had gotten so far. Another said they couldn't wait for this to be over, that they were praying for this conflict to end," the journalist said.
"This was the biggest so far of the Ukrainian drone attacks on the Russian capital since the war started," he says.
Speaking to residents, Bennett says Muscovites have been hit by a "mixture of shock and surprise".
"One person said they couldn't believe so many drones were launched and got this far," he says.
"Another said they can't wait for this all to end - that they're praying for this conflict to come to a close."
So, the recent drone attacks on the Russian capital have shocked Moscow residents, who are expressing their dissatisfaction with the military leadership and President Vladimir Putin over the events.
