Today is the final day of London bus route 414. The route will no longer run from tomorrow (the 22nd of February 2025).
Route 414 runs from Marble Arch to Putney Bridge Station (more on this later). The route shares a large section with route 14. Passengers travelling between Putney Bridge and Hyde Park Corner should use this route. The 74 will continue to provide a direct link between Putney and Marble Arch.

Route 414 runs daily, every 8 to 12 minutes. The 14 currently runs every 6 to 11 minutes daily. From tomorrow, the route will run every 6 to 8 minutes.
Route 414 serves Marble Arch, Hyde Park Corner Station, Knightsbridge Station / Harrods, Brompton Square, Victoria and Albert Museum, South Kensington Station, Onslow Square, Royal Brompton Hospital and Royal Marsden Hospital, Old Church Street, Fulham Road, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, Hortensia Road, Chelsea Football Club, Fulham Broadway Station, Fulham Broadway, Parsons Green Lane, Fulham Palace Road and Fulham High Street.
Route 414 is run by RATP London Transit. The route is allocated ADL Enviro400 hybrids from 2012. These are coded ADH45061 to ADH45078. MCV EvoSetis from 2017 occasionally appear on the route. These are allocated to the 13.
Route 414 runs from Westbourne Park (X) garage. It has a peak vehicle requirement of 16. The route runs from 5:30 AM until 1:00 AM. A full journey on route 414 takes 20 to 50 minutes.
Route 414 started running in November 2002. The route originally ran between Maida Vale, Elgin Avenue and Fulham High Street.
It was originally run by First London. The route used Plaxton Presidents from Westbourne Park (X) garage. In 2003, the 414 was extended to Putney Bridge. The route was then rerouted in Maida Hill in 2005.
In 2009, route 414 passed to Abellio London. The route ran from Battersea (QB) garage. It used new ADL Enviro400s. The 414 was first retained by Abellio in 2014.
Tower Transit started operating route 414 in 2021. The route returned to Westbourne Park (X) garage. The ADL Enviro400 hybrids were previously used on route 23. They were replaced by new Optare MetroDecker EVs in 2021.
Route 414 was cut between Maida Vale and Marble Arch in 2021.

The route runs via Russell Square Station, British Museum, Tottenham Court Road Station, Cambridge Circus, Chinatown, Piccadilly Circus, Green Park Station, Hyde Park Corner Station, Knightsbridge Station and Harrods, Brompton Square, Victoria and Albert Museum, South Kensington Station, Royal Brompton Hospital and Royal Marsden Hospital, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, Chelsea Football Club, Fulham Broadway Station, Fulham Broadway, Parsons Green Lane, Fulham High Street, Putney Bridge and Putney Station.
Route 14 is run by GoAhead London General. The route is allocated ADL Enviro400 MMC hybrids. However, Wright Gemini 2 hybrids, Wright Gemini 3 hybrids and MCV EvoSetis appear on the route daily. These are allocated to routes 22, 74 and 430. The route runs from Putney (AF) garage. It has a peak vehicle requirement of 21. Route 14 runs a 24 hour service. A full journey on route 14 takes 37 to 90 minutes.
