The legend of Princess Mandalika is a folk tale from Lombok. Princess Mandalika is better known as Mandalike. She is a princess from one of the kingdoms on Lombok Island, called the Tonjang Beru Kingdom. The King of the Tojang Beru Kingdom ordered his territory to be fair and prosperous. Princess Mandalika is known as the most beautiful princess, her beauty is known throughout the country. Princess Mandalika is not only beautiful but her speech is soft and her language is polite. He is also happy to help.
Many princes wanted to propose to her. The king left the decision up to the princess. For the sake of her responsibilities, the princess meditated to ask for guidance. After meditating, the princess invited all the princes who wanted to propose to her to gather on the 20th of the 10th month of the Sasak calendar. The princes were asked to gather at Seger Beach, which is now better known as Kuta Beach, Lombok, in the morning before the Fajr call to prayer sounded.
