Gordie Howe, known as Mr. Hockey, was a Canadian ice hockey player who played professionally for 33 seasons. He was known for his powerful shot, physical play, and impressive longevity in the sport. Howe played for the Detroit Red Wings for 25 seasons, winning four Stanley Cup championships and six Hart Memorial Trophies as the NHL's most valuable player. He also played for the Houston Aeros, a team in the World Hockey Association, where he played alongside his sons Mark and Marty. Howe retired at the age of 52 and was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1972.
