Weihong Liu, is a Chinese billionaire who was born poor. She acted as a former member of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
In 2012, she was criticized widely in China because she punched a Chinese reporter in Guangdong Province. In 2014, Weihong immigrated to Canada. A few western media described her actually acting as an arm of the Chinese Community Party.
Since 2019, she has spent billion dollars and bought three giant B.C. malls (Greater Vancouver’s Tsawwassen Mills, Victoria’s Mayfair Shopping Centre and Nanaimo’s Woodgrove Centre) and one golf club.
