When the Lone Ranger and Tonto seek help, they discover the sheriff’s men are working with Cavendish. Left on their own, they stage a daring rescue, freeing the sheriff and the town doctor—who had been forced to treat Cavendish’s gunshot wound. With the doctor’s help, they quietly round up the imposters who had replaced the murdered officials. The next day, Cavendish and his gang ride into Colby, expecting an easy takeover, only to be met by the Ranger, Tonto, and a posse blocking their path. A fierce battle erupts, and the Ranger personally hunts down and captures Cavendish. With the gang behind bars, he makes a decision—he will keep his mask and continue his fight for justice.
