In February 1945 a 16-year-old Hitler Youth named Gunter Nowak became a national hero after destroying single-handed almost a dozen Soviet tanks. Hitler awarded him the Knight's Cross - the only problem was, Nowak didn't exist. Hitler was duped, but by whom?
