Today we were cleaning the sidewalk in a crowded residential area, people were throwing trash and rocks right on the sidewalk, the grass covered the walkway so pedestrians had to walk on the street. They even encroached on the sidewalk to do business. While we were cleaning, a man came and asked us if we were cleaning to prepare for a project on the vacant land near the sidewalk, we replied that we were cleaning voluntarily for free, the man was surprised and said he had assigned the cleaning task to the people nearby, he reminded them many times but the sidewalk was still not cleaned, then he laughed and left, it seemed like he was the mayor of this neighborhood. There were some people who came near the sidewalk to pick medicinal leaves and did not care that we were cleaning the sidewalk near their house.
As usual, we clean the grass, sort the inorganic waste into the trash, then dump the grass and organic waste into the wasteland to decompose. I do not put the grass in the trash because it will be overloaded and difficult for the garbage collectors. We can only contribute a small part to help the community.
