Once upon a time, a capseller was traveling through a forest, carrying a basket of caps on his head. Feeling tired, he decided to rest under a tree and soon fell asleep.
While he slept, a group of mischievous monkeys climbed down from the tree, took the caps from his basket, and wore them on their heads.
When the capseller woke up, he was shocked to see his caps gone. Looking up, he saw the monkeys wearing them and mocking him. He tried shouting and waving, but the monkeys only imitated his actions.
Thinking quickly, the capseller took off his own cap and threw it on the ground. The monkeys, being great imitators, did the same. The capseller collected all the caps, put them back in his basket, and continued on his way.
