Today on my walk around Ubud, Bali I come across preparations for a cremation and talk with the family about the process. The hardest part about being here for me is sometimes having to witness the condition some animals are kept in. It's getting better in parts of Asia but it's still difficult to see sometimes. A local fruit vendor as well as a chicken seller gives me their time and I ask about their business and life here in Ubud. I also stop in on Made's warung where I have my daily coffee and have a quick chat. I tell the story of meeting an eccentric expat in Padang Bai who has flowers and vines tattooed over his feet and my desire to track him down and find him wherever he is. It's a great walk around Ubud.
