I used to make the wrong assumption of what this amp was and never looked into it, even though I'm a big fan of @DrZAmplification. When I finally did, the Nova seemed like a very interesting prospect and I bought a used one (but as good as new) for a bargain price. And straight away it was everything I hoped for and more, love at first sight!
But I think this amp is very overlooked. Browsing through the internet, including the Z-Talk forum, there's not a lot of talk about this model. So I'm hoping to give some more insights of what kind of amp this is.
At the end of the video I included some extra footage that I recorded during the first hour I got to play around with the amp. This rough cut at the end might give you just a little extra info on how this amp works!
All the pedals are used in front of the amp, so I didn't use the effects loop in the video, as I normally wouldn't do that either. In this video I use the Line 6 HX Effects, UAFX Del-Verb, Analogman King of Tone, MXR Timmy, JDM Elektrika, Idiotbox Power Drive and JAM Harmonious Monk (v1).
I've shot a lot of amp head videos this year, and a lot of them are still in the queue, but I didn't keep any of them. I liked the Nova so much that I pushed it up in the queue, and I think you can hear and see how much I liked it in this video.
