This is the new Mercedes AMG C63, and it’s the fastest C Class ever, also the heaviest at 4,800 pounds, and it starts at $86,000.
Under the hood, the V8 is gone, and now we have a turbocharged 2.0 liter four cylinder plug in hybrid system producing a combined 671 horsepower and 752 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 9 speed automatic transmission sending power to all four wheels.
Mercedes says 0-60 in 3.3 seconds although independent testers say even faster, with a limited top speed of 174 miles per hour when equipped with the performance package. As a performance hybrid it only features 6-7 miles of EV only range, but it also features active rear steering, fully independry adaptive damping suspension, a luxurious and sporty interior, and more.
