This time on the show we're going to do something a little bit different. No, I am not going to start making top 10 videos! But I thought this was an interesting idea, and was inspired by something that BitHead said a while back about everyone's top 10 lists looking basically the same. My thought on that is that there are just certain titles that are basically required inclusions in a top 10 list whether the person personally liked them or not. But once you free yourself from being obliged to talk about a console's A-list games, you can be free to talk about your actual favorites. Since it was the TurboGrafx that he was talking about when he made his comment, let's talk about that system first.
One thing I meant to talk about in more detail was how I got my TurboGrafx-16 console back. Like I said, I sold my original in 2008. Back in those days I had a friend named Don (since passed away) who was a lifelong Turbo fan and was also a HUGE game collector. He had another friend named William who was also a big TG16 collector who was going for a full set, and therefore had a lot of doubles due to buying people's whole collections. So I went over to William's house, and he had a TurboGrafx console for me with all needed hookups, and he pulled out a box of all of his game doubles and I just picked out whatever I wanted. I don't remember what I paid for everything, but this was 2010, before the prices went nuts. I actually went back to him a couple of more times to buy more games, but the picture in this video is from the initial haul.
Speaking of that picture, it was really fun going through a bunch of old pics of mine, looking for the few that made it into this video. I used to always take pictures of whatever I found at the thrift stores, yard sales, and flea markets back in the day, and hadn't seen them in a long time. I also had a bunch of pictures of my gaming room in our old house, but those I'll save for a future video. Man, I miss those days.

Show notes:
- The video quality in this episode looks really amazing to me. As I mentioned in the last read-through over on the main channel, we got a new camera, so that definitely helps, but the lighting here also looks incredible. Now to see if I can replicate it next time!
