https://www.patreon.com/loisdavidsonart Welcome back, In this video I use random colours left on my palette to create a lovely neutral colour on which to base this painting, much better than wasting paint! The sky is painted onto dry paper in this painting.
The colours on my palette were: paynes grey, indigo, sepia, cerulean blue, rose madder, gamboge, raw sienna and burnt sienna, my paper is a quarter imperial sheet of Saunders Waterford cold pressed 140lb paper, I used various brushes including hakes, calligraphy brushes and a flat brush, plus a card for etching into the paint.
My paper isn't pre-stretched, I tape it to my board, it buckles a little as I paint, but dries flat. My board is set at about 45-60 degrees.
