Flipnote was once one of the hottest applications on the DSi, allowing users to create and upload flipbook animations to millions around the world all directly through the system. When Nintendo closed the doors on it in 2013 to make room for a sequel that never truly came, the community would never fully recover. This is the tale of Flipnote's slow and painful death.
