Ganesh Man Singh (Nepali: गणेशमान सिंह) was the leader of the democratic movement of 1990 in Nepal. He is revered as the Father of Democracy and the Iron-man of Nepali politics. He joined Praja Parishad to protest against the autocratic rule of the Ranas. In today's turbulent political landscape, Ganesh Man Singh is also remembered as a leader who willingly stepped aside from the prime ministerial position at the request of King Birendra.
