What’s it like to say goodbye to your child if you never imagined they’d be able to live independently at all? It's a milestone: the moment a parent drops off their child at University, or helps them move out into their first flat. The offspring leaps down the corridor with glee while their mum or dad scramble around for a tissue and down a large coffee to get over the shock of it.
Part one of this heartwarming but also emotional follows a group of young people with learning disabilities who were all about to leave home for the first time to start a new part of their lives in supported accommodation.
