It’s an elite profession that’s almost impossible to break into: there are more astronauts in the world than perfumers. Fattouh is a student at ISIPCA, a renowned perfume and cosmetics school in Versailles. The young Syrian refugee’s determination is rooted in experiences most of his classmates can’t even fathom. To get here, Fattouh fled a war, crossed the Mediterranean in an inflatable boat, slept in the street and risked his life — more than once. Now in his final year at school, he must create his first original perfume as a graduation project. He embarks on a creative journey, crafting a perfume that reflects who he is, where he’s from and how he got here.
