In June 1940, while France is collapsing and preparing to live under German occupation, the underworld chooses its side. Henri Chamberlin, known as Henri Lafont, was one of the first Frenchmen to offer his services to the Germans. He quickly becomes the head of a police department located at 93 Lauriston Street and assembles a team of professional criminals. Joined by corrupt police, these criminals will take advantage of their position to persecute the Jews, plunder the country and torture the Resistance fighters. This story looks back at the misdeeds of these opportunists and their involvement in the German repressive machine.
