A wonderful example is this stunning new precinct at 405 Bourke Street in Melbourne which has used the cities largest cantilever to sit a new premium grade office tower in the air space above an existing heritage location. The major tenant is NAB whose employees and customers can now enjoy some of the largest floor plates in the CBD and unique, light filled, green spaces.
The design also includes a new laneway through the property that enables new retail opportunity and access to the rest of the city.
405 Bourke Street has renewed the Central Melbourne CBD and helps revitalise the unique laneway culture that makes the city a wonderful pedestrian experience for users.
