Hello everyone, welcome to my channel! Today, I’ll be showing you the living conditions of residents in the mountainous areas of southwestern Sichuan Province, China. The video was filmed in Wangcang County, Guangyuan City, one of the least developed regions in China. This area has a harsh geographical environment, with towering mountains and dense forests. Transportation is extremely inconvenient; just a few years ago, the roads here were dirt paths manually carved out by local residents. There are no industrial facilities or shopping malls. Agriculture is the primary livelihood for the residents in these mountainous regions. Due to the terrain, many areas cannot grow rice or wheat. Instead, they cultivate crops like buckwheat and potatoes. Many households also raise pigs, chickens, and ducks to supplement their food supply or increase their income. The houses in these areas are mostly made of wood or bricks, with fairly basic amenities. In many regions, internet access was only introduced in recent years. Most families grow vegetables and raise poultry in their yards to meet daily needs. The majority of the population here consists of elderly people, with an annual income of less than $1,000. Young people typically choose to leave and work in cities, where they can earn more than ten times that amount. Even today, there are still over 100 million people living in similar conditions. #china #poor #ruralchina #village
