In this talk for the Old Low Light Heritage Centre, local historian Mike Coates shares his research into the history and influence of the Pow Burn on the development of North Shields. Once an important tributary of the River Tyne, the course of the Pow Burn is now lost below ground. In this talk Mike lifts the lid on its fascinating history and importance to the area.
