Guilty Gear Strive is a fighting video game developed and published by Arc System Works. It is the seventh mainline installment of the Guilty Gear series and the 25th overall. The game was released worldwide on June 11, 2021. It uses Unreal Engine 4. Intended as a "complete reconstruction of the franchise", Guilty Gear Strive retains the core essence of the series but revamps many features and mechanics, except for the removal of the series’ signature mechanic, the Instant Kill. It introduces the "Wall Break" feature, which allows for stage transitions when a combo is initiated in the corner of the arena. Guilty Gear Strive was released for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Microsoft Windows on June 11, 2021. It was also distributed via Sega to Japanese arcades on July 29, 2021. "Limited Edition" and "Ultimate Edition" editions were made available for pre-order; console players who get the latter received early access to the full game on June 8, 2021.
Soulcalibur (ソウルキャリバー, Sōrukyaribā) is a weapon-based fighting game franchise developed by Bandai Namco Studios and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. There are total of seven main installments and various media spin-offs, including music albums and a series of manga books in the Soulcalibur series. The first game in the series, Soul Edge (or Soul Blade outside Japan), was released as an arcade game in 1995 and was later ported to consoles; the widespread success of its second main installment Soulcalibur in 1998 led to Soulcalibur becoming the name of the franchise, with all subsequent installments also using the name onwards. More recent games in the series have been released for consoles only and have evolved to include online playing modes.
Bleach: The Blade of Fate, known in Japan as Bleach DS Sōten ni Kakeru Unmei (BLEACH DS 蒼天に駆ける運命, "Bleach DS: A Fate Running into the Blue Sky") is a 2D fighting game that features characters from Bleach. The Japanese version of the game also features Nintendo's WFC, allowing players to connect and play against players all online. This service was removed from the International release, as it was from Lunar Knights and Mega Man Star Force. The game modes include: story mode, arcade mode, VS mode, training mode, challenge mode, survival mode, time attack mode and Urahara Shop. The Japanese release of The Blade of Fate's theme song is Ichirin no Hana by High and Mighty Color. This was replaced with a different and original song in the International versions due to licensing issues.
Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes is a 2000 crossover fighting game developed and published by Capcom. It is the fourth installment in the Marvel vs. Capcom series, which features characters from both Capcom's video game franchises and comic book series published by Marvel Comics. Originally released in Japanese arcades, the game received ports to the Dreamcast, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox, Xbox 360, and iOS over the span of twelve years.
“MELTY BLOOD” is a series of 2D fighting games based on TYPE-MOON's visual romance novel "Tsukihime."Since the game's original release on PC in 2002, it has also had a number of ports for arcade, PlayStation®2, and Steam. Now, at long last, the “MELTY BLOOD” series is making its way to PlayStation®4, Nintendo Switch™, Xbox One, and Steam on September 30, 2021 in the form of "MELTY BLOOD: TYPE LUMINA".
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (ジョジョの奇妙な冒険 JoJo no Kimyō na Bōken) is the name commonly given to any one of the versions and ports of a fighting game developed by Capcom based on Part 3, Stardust Crusaders. It was originally released in arcades in 1998 on the CPS-3 board; this version known outside Japan as JoJo's Venture. An updated version of the game was released in 1999 as JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Heritage for the Future (ジョジョの奇妙な冒険 未来への遺産 JoJo no Kimyō na Bōken Mirai e no Isan), becoming the sixth and last game released for the board. Though the Dreamcast version is the more accurate port, the Playstation version is still a decent game in its own right.
Street Fighter X Tekken (pronounced "Street Fighter Cross Tekken") is a 2012 crossover fighting video game published by Capcom, who developed with Dimps, for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation Vita, and with QLOC for Windows. The game features characters from both the Street Fighter franchise and Namco's Tekken series. In the game, each player selects two characters respectively and face other as duos in tag team fighting matches, with the objective to knock out one of the members from the opposing team (deplete the opponent's health). In addition to the game's multiplayer modes, the game also features a single-player Story mode with a plot revolving around a mysterious object called the "Pandora".
