The NX Class was the first deep space explorer created by Starfleet in the 22nd Century before the Untied Federation of Planets existed. The Enterprise NX-01 was a pioneering vessel for many future technologies of Starfleet and would be the foundational vessel of Earth and warp design with its Cochrane Archer Warp 5 Core.
