Scientist 2: Guess what I've got?
Scientist 2: It's been a long road hasn't it my ereptors? You've done so well.
Scientist 2: Everyone doubted your potential for selective assimilation... everyone except me of course.
Scientist 2: We need only arouse the remaining mutation vectors and it will be complete. Imagine it... no host rejection, no secondary augmentations. Tonight, we finish it.
Scientist 2: Tonight, we conduct the final experiment!
It is finally here, the REAL final experiment. We've waited years for this, scientist 2 has returned after being kicked out of the building. His intentions are still fuzzy at the start, but they will become clearer as the experiment goes on. After completing the 3 scorching savannah levels, we are well prepared with food and jelly for the newest ant, the Matabele medic. These ants will carry fallen ants back to the nest to heal them up and add them back to the fight. This is the final challenge to the campaign in the game. Our objective, *Survive*
*Tips:*
- An unprepared colony will not survive this challenge. Make sure you are well stocked on resources. Try to use all 300 slots of ants that are given. Save some for some extra nest workers. The soldier composition is completely up to the player now.
- Either *Fast Responder* or *Anesthetist* medics will work. I went for *Fast Responder* because they can quickly heal and get more ants into the fight.
- *Sustain* is a pretty good ability. Whenever the medics attack, they will heal all nearby allies.
- *Surgeon* is another good ability. While many go for field medic, it is only useful in large areas where ants are fighting far from the nest. The formicarium is a small area, so field medic is not as useful. Surgeon reduces the debuff given to revived ants. Revived ants have 60% of their original stats. When using surgeon, it reduces the stats to 85% of the original.
- The soldier composition is completely up to the player now. Go for how many ants you want.
- Speed is key. You will need numbers and speed to collect enough jelly to upgrade your resistances.
- Use the scientist as much as possible, you will see why...
- Store up on food. Although not much is needed since the early game enemies drop food when killed. It's safe to stock up on about 3,000 food for respawns, since the later game enemies won't drop as much food.
*Important:*
- You won't keep any jelly you gathered during the challenge. So don't try to stockpile it, you won't keep it.
