For a very brief period of time in 1984 a cartoon called MIGHTY ORBOTS aired on Saturday mornings.
It was a Japanese/US collaboration and ABC's gambit to cash in on the robot craze but nothing went to plan including low ratings and a lawsuit from THE GOBOTS. MIGHTY ORBOTS didn't stand a chance!
