The rear glass of the tailgate is leaking in my VAZ 2109, I will show you how to eliminate the flow of water into the trunk through the rear door glass seal (lyady) with my own hands and myself, since I'm tired of the wet trunk after every rain.
To seal the rear window seal of the tailgate of the nine, I used the remaining colorless silicone sealant for headlight glasses, but, in theory, plumbing or any other silicone sealant can be used. I also needed a flat screwdriver and a wooden ice cream stick, with which I applied sealant under the seal and removed excess sealant. If you have a full-fledged compressor, then this will be a plus, since it is difficult for a car compressor to create a good air flow to remove dirt from under the seal. But it is necessary to blow out the dirt, otherwise there will be no sealing of the glass with a sealant - it is through the accumulated dirt that water penetrates under the seal into the trunk.
It took about an hour to fix the water leak in the trunk, but this is taking into account the video recording and the selection of the shooting angle - if without video, then much less.
