When it comes to developing youth basketball players, teaching them how to finish at the basket is crucial. It's something that must be worked on, seen on film, put into live situations, and worked on some more. You can never be too good at scoring in the paint.
In this video, we look at two primary aspects of scoring - and we do that from the perspective of transition offense because of how prevalent it is in youth sports.
The two areas we look at are:
1. The skills that need to be developed to be a good finisher.
2. The iQ necessary to make good decisions about whether to shoot or pass in transition.
Both of these are equally important, and you won't have success long term without developing both of them. I hope you're encouraged and equipped as you watch - please reach out if you want for me to breakdown some of your game tape at coachmcbeth12@gmail.com
