The rise of Girl's Day: Everyday Girls Day in the 2010s

Girl’s Day was one of the most successful female K-pop groups in the early to mid 2010s. With the group hitting their peak around 2013 to 2015, each of their music videos during this time had over 10m views and a slew of awards. Their group also had a superstar in Hyeri, who became one of the “it” girls during this time. The phrase “Everyday Girl’s Day” became a trend, as it was predicted that Girl’s Day would stay on top in the 2010s decade. Yet, despite their success, the group didn’t have a large fanbase and would soon lose their spotlight during the latter half of the 2010s. In January 2019, all four ladies would leave their label, Dream Tea Entertainment.
