"The Road Goes on Forever", written by Robert Earl Keen, was immortalized in country western genre by the Highwaymen. The song tells the story of Sonny and Sherry, two driftless, outlaw lovers on the run after drug deal gone bad. Some years later, Kit Kutscherousky wrote a sequel to their story, fueled with more drug deals and a jailbreak. He called it "The party never ends. THE REST OF THE STORY".
My friend and songwriter David Freilich loved the story but felt a third installment was needed for closure. He asked me to cover his song called, "The Road Goes on Forever, Part III".
