I've now had the Himalayan for 5 years from new. In all this time it has covered 20,000 Miles/ 32,000 km Here's what's gone wrong: Front brake hose replaced under warranty. Cost £0 Front and rear brake calipers replaced warranty recall Costs £0 Front wheel replaced, the original buckled when a new tyre was fitted Costs £300 Exhaust downpipe replaced, the catalytic converter started to rattle, Cost £145 FuelX lite added. Cost £150 Rear brake master cylinder replacement next week Cost approx £100 Chain and sprockets replaced at 14k miles Cost approx £140 Brake pads replaced once Cost £40 3 front tyres and 3 rear tyres. Cost £600 3 MOT's cost £75 7 oil change services (filter and oil) cost £ 280 Iridium spark plug and new air filter cost £48 Total cost for running the bike (not including fuel) for 5 years is approx £1878 That's £375 per year on average! All servicing has been done by me at home.
