It would seem that even when he writes a book without a wolf in it, Jack London still has to mention wolves. However it seems justifiable in this instance, where the sea wolf in question is the dangerous sea captain Wolf Larson, into whose power the hero falls when he is rescued after his own vessel is wrecked...
