“Unlock your creativity with this stunning DIY marking knife project! In this video, I take a simple bolt and transform it into a one-of-a-kind marking knife that’s both functional and artistic. Watch as I twist, file, and heat the metal to create intricate patterns, shaping the blade into unique angles. Using heat treatment, I achieve vibrant blue, purple, and yellow hues that make this knife a true work of art.
To complete the design, I turn a piece of wood into a beautiful handle by converting my drill press into a lathe machine. The handle features a custom copper lid, carefully crafted by cutting and soldering it. Engraving the logo by hand push graver. The result is a perfect blend of metalworking, woodworking, knife making, and engraving—all in one project!
This project showcases a variety of techniques:
• Metalworking: Twisting, filing, and shaping the bolt into a blade.
• Woodworking: Crafting a unique handle with woodturning techniques.
• Engraving: Adding intricate details to the Handle bottom with a hand push graver.
• Heat Treatment: Creating eye-catching colors on the blade through controlled heating.

• A 5-in-1 compass for marking, dividing, and scribing.
