As I was taking the elevator down, I faintly heard a cat's meow. Following the sound, I found a little kitten hiding under a box that held a fire extinguisher.
The little creature looked a bit pitiful, but I didn't have any cat food at home, so I went back to grab some water for the kitten. When the kitten saw the water, it cautiously crawled out from under the metal box and drank a couple of sips. After drinking, the kitten ran up to me, rubbing its head against my hand as if to thank me. Then, it curled up at my feet.
I planned to go home and bring some food for the kitten, but as I was leaving, it seemed like the kitten wanted to follow me, then stopped, almost as if afraid that if I left, it would be alone again.
