Do you know someone who can’t get to Mass and might enjoy this broadcast? We would consider it a honor and blessing to welcome them to our liturgy.
Since 1952, the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington has produced a weekly televised Mass for those who are homebound. Our 30 minute Catholic Mass is broadcast from the Basilica’s Crypt Church and is celebrated by priests from the Archdiocese of Washington and the Diocese of Arlington, featuring sacred liturgical music with a Cantor & Organist from the Choir of The Basilica. The Christmas Mass and the Easter Mass are special one-hour broadcasts celebrated annually by the bishops of the corresponding diocese.
Our mission is to bring the blessings of Jesus Christ’s presence and love, through our broadcast, to the sick and those unable to leave their homes. We offer the The Sunday Mass online and locally on TV, airing on WDCW-50 every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. For a full broadcast channel listing of our televised Mass, as well as other information, visit https://adw.org/parishes-masses/sunday-tv-mass
The Holy Mass is the greatest act of Evangelism the Church can offer the world. It is the heart of Catholic worship. Our broadcast continues today due to God’s grace and the generosity of our viewers.
