Lionel Corporation dates all the way back to 1900. Quickly they learned they was a demand for electric toy trains, and soon became the clear leader in that market. But falling revenue in the 60's led them to sell off their rights to the brand and designs, and a new Lionel appeared and moved forward. That second Lionel is still around today.
