In this tutorial, we will be going over the three steps you will always be used to mix your tech-house bass. Those three steps are Saturation, EQ, Compression, and Sidechain! Saturation aids in making your bass sound fuller and heavier. EQ helps control the frequencies of your bassline to make sure it fits nicely on your track. Finally, Compression helps in controlling volume fluctuations on your basslines to get a nice tight vibe.
Producing with purpose is something I've been huge on and today I will be explaining why we do these three steps and how to actually program them.
