2021年5月から始まるNHK朝の連続テレビ小説「おかえりモネ」の舞台としても今、気仙沼市が注目を集めています。
その気仙沼市唐桑町松圃で、古くから伝わる『花嫁行列』が行われた。
地域住民ら約200人がずらりと長い列を作り、３０分ほどかけて町内を歩いた。
道中に集まった人たちは、大漁旗を振ったり、浜甚句を踊ったりしてこの地で家庭を築く新郎新婦の結婚を祝福した。
その後、御崎神社では、挙式や太鼓の披露などが行われ、笑顔あふれるひとときとなった。

A traditional "bride procession" was held in Karakuwa Town, Kesennuma City.
About 200 people, including local residents, formed a long line and walked through the town for about 30 minutes.
The people who gathered along the way waved big fishing flags and danced the "Hama Jingku" song to celebrate the marriage of the bride and groom, who will start a family in this area.
Later, at the Misaki Shrine, a wedding ceremony and taiko drumming were held, and it was a time full of smiles.
