Merasmus the Magician was one of the most important characters behind the scenes in the Team Fortress timeline. He was responsible for many of the Scream Fortress events, the loss of Demoman's eye and the fate of Tom Jones. While he had access to ancient powers, his plans normally failed due to his own shortcomings, or because of Soldier.
