Steven Universe is seen as groundbreaking in terms of LGBT representation. But there’s one queer element of the show that I have not seen discussed at length, and that’s the trans essence embedded in the core of the series. Now that's not to say no one's discussed it, but I really want to get into the social constructs, metaphors, and themes that make Steven Universe unique. Let's talk about space rocks!
