I wanted to touch on the reality of being a service dog handler. The truth about having a service dog is that it's not fun or "cool." There are challenges to having a service dog and many things I wish I knew before I got a service dog! Here are some of my pros and cons of having a service dog, and more importantly, the real, honest truth about what it's like to be a service dog handler.
