How to do a tune up on a HEMI 5.7 in a Ram 1500 4x4. This same engine can be found in several different cars and trucks. We will be removing all sixteen spark plugs from this v8 engine. This is known as a dual spark ignition system. We will replace all of the spark plugs and then manually clean the throttle body. Afterwards a pressure vessel will be filled with an intake, valve and top cylinder cleaner. When the cleaning product is then processed through the engine, the spark plugs will be removed for a second time in order to use borescope to visually inspect the pistons in order to determine the effectiveness of the cleaner on an engine with carbon buildup.
