Like most my stories this one starts with a Bike. After months of sitting on a Facebook Marketplace add for my 6 year old Chromag Hardtail I finally got a message. A new account with no profile photo and wants me to bring it to the Bay Area. Sketchy as best but I decided to pry more. Turns out he's a high school kid who joined facebook just for shopping marketplace. So we set a meeting place at a Bike Shop in Livermore. This got me thinking late one night..... "Since I'm going to the Bay Area, it wouldn't hurt to see whats on marketplace for kayaks." Thats when I saw the deal of all deals. A like new Delta 12.10 for $400! I hit the dude up and he had bought the boats new in 2020 and he was moving into an apartment and couldn't keep it. I'd been jonesing to get my but in one for a long time, but I haven't found anyone with demos. Needless to say I jumped all over this one.
Since I was in the Redwood City area I dropped by to see my friends Dave and Tom at Redwood City Watersports and paddle off their dock. What a magical spot to watch the sunsets. Less than 5 miles from Google and Facebook headquarters!
