Over the past decade, the interview Jeffrey Lacasse gave with the Tallahassee Police Department has gained quite the cult following on the internet. A self-confessed analytical thinker and obsessive researcher, he had taken up the task of laboriously sifting through his personal records and recounted experiences with his former romantic partner, Wendi Adelson, the ex-wife of Professor Dan Markel, who was murdered at his home in Tallahassee on July 18, 2014.
Jeff had originally been a 'person of interest' for the police in the early stages of the murder investigation, but was quickly ruled out as he was verified to be out of State at the time Professor Markel had been killed.
Several months had passed and no arrests had been made. It was at this point, in March 2015, Jeff returned to TPD to share some of his personal experiences and observations about Wendi Adelson and her family members (to whom he had grown increasingly suspicious) during the course of his relationship with her, particularly around the time the murder.
Following this interview, the investigation continued, and we have since seen three criminal trials, each securing convictions, where much of the information Jeff had introduced to law enforcement was shown to be accurate.
Widely regarded as a 'hero' of the case, Jeff showed incredible insight in bringing this information to the investigation and supporting the police in their effort for justice.
Frustratingly, in previous versions of Jeff's interview that have been released into the public domain, significant portions of the video had been redacted, leaving many to wonder what the content was that had been removed.
True Crime Metrix is proud to announce that we have obtained an original copy of the unedited, unredacted video of Jeff's interview, which contains these 'never-before-seen' portions. These portions contain important, and sometimes shocking, revelations about the case and the characters involved.
