[The Walks] Naejangsa Temple / 4K
Naejangsa Temple, located at 1253 Naejangsan-ro, Jeongeup-si, Jeollabuk-do, was founded by Yeongeun, a monk of Baekje during the Three Kingdoms Period. It is currently a subsidiary temple of Seonunsa Temple, the headquarters of the 24th Diocese of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism. Until modern times, it was rebuilt several times and was referred to as Yeongeunsa Temple and Naejangsa Temple. However, after reconstruction in 1938, it was established under a single name, Naejangsa Temple. In particular, the modern Zen master Hakmyeong (鶴鳴 Zen master, 1867-1929) played a significant role in laying the foundation by renovating temples and practicing self-reliant economy.
