This over-responsibility often starts in our family system. Maybe as a child, you felt the need to support a parent, a sibling, or just keep the peace. Maybe you learned that being useful was the way to be loved. Over time, that survival strategy becomes who we think we have to be—the fixer, the problem solver, the one who holds it all together.
But here’s the thing: When you give too much, you block the flow of receiving. There’s no real exchange—just depletion.

1️⃣ Notice where you automatically step in to solve something before being asked.
2️⃣ Ask yourself: Am I the right size in this situation, or am I taking on more than is mine?
3️⃣ Practice holding back and letting others step up—see what happens when you don’t immediately take responsibility.
Confidence isn’t about doing more. It’s about knowing when to stand back and allow for balance in relationships. Right-sizing yourself means recognising what’s truly yours to carry—and what isn’t.
