The Wisdom of Robert Marcellus: Hand Position and Finger Motion

Video Not Working? Fix It Now

This video is the prerequisite for several planned videos: Daniel Bonade's Method of Staccato, how to spend an hour a day on Baermann 3, etc. It may seem too basic for advanced players, but I just listened to a bunch of college auditions -- advanced players in a sense -- and many mistakes could have been avoided by hand position. Also the top-down/bottom-up focus thing is huge. The Marcellus master class I refer to is oddly not on the NU website, but can be found here: http://curiousclarinetist.blogspot.com/2012/09/masterclass-with-robert-marcellus-audio.html If you're interested in music at Duquesne University or Carnegie Mellon University, go to https://www.duq.edu/academics/colleges-and-schools/music/index.php or https://www.cmu.edu/cfa/music/ and search ny name for contact info.
