LONGGGGGGG STORY SHORT: This is my new YouTube channel. For the time being, my content will consist of audio stories and (soon) custom spotlight videos. This story is a shortened refined version of the Audio Story posted in 2023. They are both considered "pilots" -- the actual canon version of this story will be filmed with toys, eventually! The "Rolling Around On Sodor" logo that appears at the end of this episode is a place holder, and was designed long before the current vision of the series. The next production will feature an updated logo.
This particular story was written in 2023, the exact inspiration escapes me but what I do know is combing D261 and Old Stuck Up into one character was always in the cards. People often adapted "World's Strongest Engine" with D261 instead of Diesel, and while this is fun -- why exactly would Topham think D261 would be a "proper dock yard diesel" ? and why would diesel, henry's replacement, be working at the docks/expected to haul henry's goods when he's just a shunter? the episode is silly, but a classic. I fixed these issues by having Andy (D261) return to Sodor instead, and merge 'Old Stuck Up' with the iconic event of Diesel getting "trolled" by the trucks from "World's Strongest Engine". And thus, this story was born. James and Duck are prominent characters in this as this is set up for my James and The Diesel Engines adaptation.
