German shipwrecks are few and far between, at least for capital ships. There weren't many to begin with. And of those, quite a few were scrapped.
In today's video, we'll look at one of the scrapped ones. Gneisenau, one of the Scharnhorst-class battleships. A ship that was out of the fight by early 1942, but also a ship that (more or less) survived the entire conflict. Sunk as a blockship in 1945, and ultimately raised and scrapped by the Poles in 1947.
Her wreck is an interesting one, for the same reason as the Kure wrecks. Above water and easy to see details on.
